Doug L. Parks

Parks has been chief of global product development for GM for the past three years. In this role, he is responsible for engineering, purchasing, and supply chain logistics for all GM brands, including Cruise autonomous vehicles. Previously, Parks was Vice President of Autonomous and Electric Vehicle Programs for GM, helping develop the framework for GM’s ongoing transformation to an all-electric future. He supervised the engineering teams that developed the Cruise AV and GM’s all-new electric vehicle architecture, and he has been deeply involved in all of GM’s other hybrid and electric vehicle programs, including the Chevy Volt. A 38-year veteran of GM, Parks holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Tech University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
