Thai-Tang is a 34-year veteran of the Ford Motor Company who rose to prominence as chief engineer of the groundbreaking 2005 Mustang and director of Ford’s in-house tuner division, Special Vehicle Team. Since then, Thai-Tang has held numerous engineering and product development leadership positions during the launch of such new vehicles as the GT, Bronco, Maverick, Mustang Mach-E, and F-150 Lightning EV pickup as well as overseeing all aspects of the company’s supply chain operations. Thai-Tang spied his first American car, a late-1960s Mustang, in his native Saigon as a young child, and it was a lasting impression that fueled his work on the 2005 Mustang decades later. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with an MBA from the University of Michigan, Thai-Tang is revered by Mustang enthusiasts and all fans of the Blue Oval.
